At Home in Wisconsin

Hello to all,

Dear Friends and Family,

Don S. will celebrate his 65th birthday this May 26. Don is healthy, happy, and engaged in work and activities he loves. He is part of a meaningful spiritual community, shows his mosaic stained glass artwork at the High Point Gallery in Mineral Point, enjoys the ministrations of skilled bodyworkers, plays tennis, racquetball, and bridge regularly, and is blessed with close family, friends, and connections. Through my daughter, Cara, he also became a grandpa in July 2004. After some wandering, we have homes that suit us well: a sprawling semi-rural house just north of Madison where Don grew a bumper crop of raspberries last summer, and a time-share condo in our beloved Puerto Vallarta where we flee the harsh Wisconsin winters.

Don's life has been enriched by the good memories and many good stories his friends have provided him with. I believe Don would love nothing more than to reconnect with you on this landmark birthday. Given the circumstances, that would most likely be with an email or card. We will be in Chicago celebrating with family for the days surrounding his actual birthday, so a phone call will not reach him directly. Catching him up on where you are in your life would be a perfect gift. Including a copy of an old photograph, a story or memory would be equally precious.

Thank you for thinking about this. I'm anticipating you all will come up with some wonderful stuff. If you are in contact with someone who knows Don and is not on my email list, please feel free to forward this.

Warmly,

Mary S.

Ed note: If you wish to contact Don via email, you can forward it to me with Don S. in the subject line and I'll forward it along to him.
