Wanted to let you know that Jane died Saturday night around 9PM their time. As Frank said to me, Jane made all her own decisions, including this one. I don't think anyone imagined it would happen this quickly or this suddenly, but she had been through more than enough, and it sounds as though she died peacefully. Frank is planning a memorial service--which is to be a celebration of Jane's life at the UU Church--to be held in a month or two out there.

Several of us in Cols. who were friends with Jane will also be having some sort of memorial here. Anyone who would like to participate (in either) is welcome and can contact me to further details.

Jane was a special friend to many, both recently and in the past. Every time she came to Cols. to participate in a long-term women's research study at OSU, she made a special point of connecting with her friends here. She enriched many lives, and we will miss her dearly. Anyone who may wish to send a card to her husband, sons, or brother (to whom she was especially close) may contact me for their addresses.
