11/28/04 I finally got the roll finished and developed. This was our tent setup at the Woody Guthrie Folk Festival in Okemah, OK, in July. To give the tent some shade in the heat (remember - Oklahoma in July), I made tent poles out of plastic water pipe, and used them to hold up a tarp over the tent. The car is facing East. The 2nd pic shows the morning "shade flaps". Things worked OK, although I'm not sure how well it would have done in a storm. The festival was a free festival - none of the performers are paid - so it's kind of like a family get-together. There was a charge for parking, which was covered by our camping fee. We got to see a lot of really good performers, some of whom had opinions (shades of the 60's). I played at the open mike at the Rocky Road Tavern 2 days. Ted & Martha |
