Rain, rain, and more rain.
The day started off cloudy and cool (well, nothing new there)...then the sun appeared and was with us for several hours. Then all hell broke loose and the rains came. It's been a while since we've seen rain this hard......now let's see, maybe since the second day of our trip down here. As I recall we saw some pretty hard rain in Tennessee and northern Georgia. This rain was came with some pretty stiff winds many times it was coming down sideways.
When it rains hard here our patio has a huge puddle of water...so later in the day Mr. Jerry had to go out and sweep out the flood. All is well now luckily and no other damage was found.
The only thing we did all day was to make a quick trip to the post office so that Mrs. Gerrie could mail a few things and visit Bailey's General Store where we filled our water bottles.
Later in the day, after the rain slowed, Mr. Jerry put on his rain gear and walked to the beach to view the surf which we could easily hear from our unit. It was raining and blowing quite hard and the beach was deserted save for me and three other brave folks who also appeared curious. I doubt that anyone spent much time out there yesterday.
