Posted from Sanibel Island, Florida

Warmer today....each day brings just a little bit of improvement. Even while saying that I have to admit that we're only talking a few degrees. Again today the thing that makes it bearable is the lower wind. The sun certainly warms you plenty if the wind doesn't drive you off the beach.

We made our usual trip to the beach in the afternoon as we've done for many days now. Mrs. Gerrie then heads out to walk several miles while I wander down the beach at a snails pace. I am able to make about a mile now after doing this several days.

After considerible discussions we finally decided to go out for pizza at a place near the Light House Cafe toward the east end of the island. I couldn't recall being there, but Mrs. Gerrie insisted that we had eatten there before. We drove over to where we thought it was and found the place, called Island Deli. As we pulled into the parking lot a young girl came on the door and took the "open" sign off, closed and locked the door. There we sat watching her close the place right in our face. I wonder if she knew who she was locking out....ummmm funny how that happened. So we drove across the street to the Light House Cafe and ate there. We split an order of ribs and Mrs. Gerrie ordered a sweet potato on the side. We enjoyed our meal except the noise in there was way loud. I noticed two large groups both with several kids. Ummmm...there seems to be some connection between kids and noise. I also noticed that the parents in the groups didn't even seem to notice how loud their kids were. Perhaps they get used to it.

Ok, got some photos for you to look at today....

Hugs,
Jerry & Gerrie
