Geez when I get behind I can't remember what we did. It's best when we stay current with these little articles.
Well it was Mom's first day on the beach. First of all we had to do a bit of talking to get her out there, but I convinced her that the wind she saw wasn't that cold. Unfortunately that was a bit of a lie but it turned out that she didn't even notice how cool it was once we were walking down the beach. She was taken by all the shells that we have out there. I'll have to say that if you haven't seen this kind of thing before it's a bit overwhelming. There are literally millions of shells along the water stretching as far as the eye can see.
I'm thinking that the temps did break 60 today and maybe even reached 63 or so. However, that cool wind straight out of the north is still making it very uncomfortable to be outside and the heat on inside. The weather people are talking about several records that are being broken here. The temperatures inland continue to be in the 30s each night. That will surely run up some of the folks heating bills.
Anyway we did very little here today other than our beach walk. After dinner we watched the Olympics until the coverage ended, then it was bed time and another day on Sanibel Island is over.
Hugs,
Jerry & Gerrie
