Pa Paw says I look good enough to be a model
(uh...what's a model?)

Here I am looking good, again

I found a bunch of tiny tadpoles in the bird water
Pa Paw said they were mosquitos, and dumped them out.

Here I am catching Japanese Beetles off the grape vine

Pa Paw and I still right the tractor but this will likely be the last year
Pa Paw says that one of us is getting too big, but maybe it's him taking up all the room

Helping Pa Paw dig up rocks out of the front yard

I'm a Bengal this year....go Bengals

This fellow will be on his fanny in a few seconds

Here is another play...#33 and I'm putting this guy away too.

Hey, now that I look back on it, August was a pretty busy month. School started again as well as football, and there were many other things going on too. I've included photos just to show you some of the things I've been up to.

I get to go over to see my grandparents twice a week and sometimes more. We do lots of things together, some of which we have photos of. Pa Paw doesn't take nearly as many photos as he used to. He says that he is running out of hard drive space. Now what does that mean. Well, no matter, there are enough photos for this month.

Football:
This year I switched teams and this is the team that won it all last year. Hopefully we'll be the winners again this year. I'm anxious to be on a winning team. Well, our team didn't do all that badly last year, but this year it's going to be better. There are two things to report about football. The first game (the one the photos are from), I was choosen to play both offence and defence. I was the center on offence, and left end on defence. Pa Paw got some photos of me putting this one kid on his "fanny" several times. You can see some of the action above. It's kind of hard to get photos when I'm playing center since there are just too many kids in the way. I was also choosen to be one of the co-captains this year. That means that I'm one of the leaders and get to participate in the coin toss at the start of each game.

Just in case you're wondering...life is good, and while I hate to see summer go, other good stuff is taking up the time. Oh yea, one other thing...I really like my teacher this year and am learning a lot more stuff. Stay tuned for more on that in the months to come.

See ya soon,
Jake
